This summer I enjoyed berries, and served them as they are, in parfaits or various breakfast dishes like these Blueberry Pancakes or cakes like this Raspberry Cake or Blueberry Bundt Cake. Berries are good in almost any kind of dessert and ice cream as their flavor is simply amazing. I am glad to be able to share with you another berry recipe, a Berry Pie that is a comforting dessert hardly to resist and forget.
A buttery crumbly crust filled with amazing sweet, juicy and flavorful berries enhanced with a bit of lemon juice and zest. Served with good dollop of ice cream makes this dessert simply irresistible. Such an incredible way of enjoying these summer days.
This Berry Pie is made with a lattice top but you can also top it with a whole piece of dough if in a hurry, just make sure you cut it on top to release the steam while baking.
The only hard thing is that after you remove it from the oven you can not cut it right away. You need to let it cool and let the fruits set to be able to cut beautiful pie slices.
Hope you will give this Berry Pie a try and don’t forget to let me know how it turned out for you. Enjoy!

Can I use frozen berries?
This looks absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to try it 🙂 I tried the mushroom empanadas and they were soooo delicious. I just want to know if you used a 8 inch or 9 inch pie pan? Thanks for all the great recipes

It’s a really nice recipe. Someone asked what what size pie pan to use. I used a 10 inch glass pie pan and the size indicated in the recipe worked out nicely. I will be always making this one. I also used the wild berries that grow all over Massachusetts for the berries and it’s delicious. I also like a sweet pie so I tried 1 cup of sugar and it was just right.
