Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp (15g) butter
  • 1 tbsp (10g) flour
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) milk
  • 1/3 cup (80g) cream
  • 2 ½ cups (375g) corn kernels , canned or frozen
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1 tsp (5g) sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in milk and whipping cream.
  • Add corn, salt, black pepper, sugar and nutmeg. Stir to combine.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot.
